The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Marie Wilkes can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: I have wonderful childhood memories of time with my Aunt Marie and Uncle Orville, on their farm. They were wonderful, kind people. We are very sorry to lose them.

Condolence From: Jill Neff (Pearce)
Condolence: I have fond childhood memories of visiting my Aunt Marie and Uncle Orville at their farm. I don’t remember all of the details as I was quite young, but I do remember it was always a good time...compete with lots of my family members (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins), endless amounts good food (of course), and many new and interesting “farm” things for Uncle Orville to show my brothers and I (being city kids, we were easy to impress on the farm!).

Unfortunately I didn’t get the chance to see them often in my teenage and/or adult years (after my family moved out West), but we did keep up with all the family news, Instagram photos of their kids and grandkids etc.

Aunt Marie reminded me of my grandma (her mom), who was one of the kindest, most loving, caring, and genuinely happy and grateful human beings I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I hope I can grow old half as gracefully as either of them did.

My deepest sympathies to the entire family for this loss. She will be missed!

Lots of love.

Jill, Ryan, Mila and Hugo Neff

Condolence From: Leisha and Bill Pearce
Condolence: As adults, we cherish the times we have spent over the years with Marie and Orville and their family. Most recently, the Judd sisters' boat cruise was a real highlight! As a kid, Leisha remembers all the good times playing with Wendy, Aileen and Ken on the family farm. Fond remembrances forever!

Condolence: I'm so very sorry to hear Aunt Marie died. She really did have a wonderful life and family and I know was at peace with family all around her. Mom is of course very sad one of the four Judd girls is gone and I'm sure this is harder still for all of you losing your mom/grandmother. I'm so glad she got to do their sisters trip down the Trent last summer! It meant a ton to mom and I'm sure to all of them to have those four old sisters all together. It's been far too long since I've seen you all. Love from Calgary and my family to yours. Grant, Justine, Charlie (5 yrs) and Fred (2 yrs).

So sorry to hear about Marie. I will miss our visits on Tuesday mornings at bowling and seeing her wonderful smile and her laughter. She was such a lovely person and our children will always remember her cookies and treats at Halloween.

Our thoughts are with you today, unfortunately we could not be there.
