The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Randy Tieman can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Michael Whalen

Of course a flood of memories come back when I think of Randy. We spent so much time together in our younger days covering the Expos at spring training in Florida. Randy was always so excited to be there in the heat, with the tropical smells in the air, the sound of baseball bats hitting balls, to say nothing of the beach and his favourite foods. His enthusiasm for Sunday breakfast at the Sailfish Restuarant with their crab omelettes was something to behold. He lived life to the fullest. There are so many things I want to say about Randy, but what I most want to get across is that Randy was a generous man with his emotions, his friendship, his knowledge and yes, even with his pocketbook. I will miss miss him big time.
