Condolence: Dear Lianne and family, I worked with Randy for many wonderful years. He will always have a special place in my heart and thoughts! I remember his health scares in the late nineties and the time those of us who worked closely with him waited anxiously to hear if he would come out of his coma. In a perfect world, Randy would have enjoyed a long and happy retirement. Though his time was shorter than expected I m sure he appreciated every moment with you, his loved ones. love Holly and family

Condolence: Randy was the consummate professional. His unquestionable work ethic, cherished smile and wonderful laughter made him a joy to be with.

I’ll never forget his incredible enthusiasm when he joined the CFCF Radio newsroom. I watched his career grow and appreciated his on-air warmth and talent.

He always commanded the full respect of both amateur and professional athletes alike no matter the sport through three decades.

Randy was a great storyteller and his reports were even more popular than the final game scores. When you watched Randy, you knew you were going to be well-informed and entertained. He was a brilliant communicator.

My condolences to Liane and the family. You were all part our lives because Randy proudly shared his deep devotion and love for you all.

May he rest in peace.

Condolence From: Archbishop Dr. Michael R. Foreman
Condolence: Although we lost track of each other after high-school, your passing has left a feeling of great sadness.
I remember hanging out at your house when we were kids, being in the same class room throughout elementary school, and then again, being in the same class in high-school. How about our 4 am hiking out to Morrison Dam the day of Trout fishing season opening up.
Yes, even though we lost track of each other in adult hood, there are still plenty of memories to ponder and chuckle at.
Miss you Randy. I will be saying a prayer for you.
God Bless your family in this difficult time.
Amen!

Condolence: Of course a flood of memories come back when I think of Randy. We spent so much time together in our younger days covering the Expos at spring training in Florida. Randy was always so excited to be there in the heat, with the tropical smells in the air, the sound of baseball bats hitting balls, to say nothing of the beach and his favourite foods. His enthusiasm for Sunday breakfast at the Sailfish Restuarant with their crab omelettes was something to behold. He lived life to the fullest. There are so many things I want to say about Randy, but what I most want to get across is that Randy was a generous man with his emotions, his friendship, his knowledge and yes, even with his pocketbook. I will miss miss him big time.

Condolence: Losing a friend and colleague like Randy takes a piece of all of us. He was special in so many ways and it shows in the way everyone has reacted to the hearing of his passing. Truly one of the most genuine professionals I have ever come across. A man so true to himself while devoting his time and energy to the passions that mattered most in his life. His family, his friends, his sports and his love of living. Liane you were the luckiest to have known him the best. My condolences to you and your beautiful family. I will raise a glass in his honour Friday at 4 from the top of Tremblant.
