Obituary

Donald Wendell MacLeod of Williamstown; age 74 years, passed away suddenly at the Ottawa Heart Institute, Saturday, March 6, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Brenda MacLeod (née Irwin)(2018). Loving father of Shannon MacLeod (Andrew MacLachlan). Cherished grandfather of Liam, Ross and Jack MacLachlan. He will be deeply missed by his dear friend, Margaret Gosselin. He is predeceased by his parents Donald Alexander MacLeod and Mary Catherine MacArthur, as well as his cherished sisters, Audrey Cumming (late Bill), Ruth (Popeye) McDonald (late Ewen), brothers John (Lorna), Munro (Gloria) and infant brother Roderick Samuel. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd. 46 Oak Street, Lancaster (613)347-3629 on Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 9 to 10:15 am. A Private Memorial Service will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church (The Round Church), Dalhousie Mills. For those who wish to attend the controlled attendance visitation, must call the Funeral Home, Mon. to Fri. between 9 am & 5 pm, to register your attendance. Masks and physical distancing are required at all gatherings. Memorial Donations to the St. Andrew’s United (Round) Church, Dalhousie Mills or the Lancaster Masonic Lodge would be appreciated by the family. In memory of Wendell, a tree will be planted in a memory woods. A tree grows – memories live.

Shannon and family so sorry for the loss of your dad. Thinking of you all. He will be dearly miss. Remember all they great memories that he as left behind. Sealtest, broomball. baseball and hockey that he was so involved in. He is having a great chat with your mom, Bill, Audrey and Buck about the good old times.

Shannon, Margaret and family. Deepest and most sincere sympathies on Wendell's passing. His kindness, and happy disposition will forever live on in our memory. It is a great loss when someone of his spirit passes and is truly felt.
