The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Veronica Lajoie can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

At the Glengarry Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, April 17, 2019. Veronica Lajoie (nee Lafave) of Alexandria; age 90 years. Beloved wife of the late Conrad Lajoie. Loving mother of Collette Dumont (Norman), Gilles Lajoie (Odette), Monique Lajoie (Claude), and Marcel Lajoie (Debbie) all of Alexandria, Diane Bellefeuille (Ron), Noel Lajoie, and Louise Marleau (late Maurice) companion to Pete Bissonette all of Cornwall, and Alain Lajoie of Toronto. Dear sister of Neil Lafave (Helene) of Kemptville. Predeceased by one son Denis (Carole), brothers Clifford "Bunny" Lafave, Francis Lafave, and Fred Lafave, sisters Mary Leroux, Stella Lafave, and Ida MacDonald. Dear daughter of the late John and Rose Anne Lafave (nee Lapointe). Also survived by 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St., South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Friday, April 19, 2019 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Saturday from 9:30 am -10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Finnan's Cathedral, Alexandria on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 11 am. Cremation will follow. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Glengarry Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Veronica a tree will be planted in a Memory Woods.
