The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Rita Evans can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

At the Maxville Manor on Thursday, January 9, 2020. Rita Evans (nee McDonell) of Kenyon; age 94 years. Beloved wife of the late Howard Evans. Loving mother of Lynda Evans and Ron Evans both of Kenyon, Patricia Vrolyk (Ron) of Stittsville, and Audrey Evans of Maxville. Dear sister of Joe McDonell (late Colleen) of Maxville. Predeceased by one son Allan Evans, by one sister Mary McDonell (late Jack), and by one brother Francis McDonell (Kaye of Loch Garry). Dear daughter of the late Hugh and Annie McDonell (nee Kennedy). Also survived by four grandchildren Martin, Kim, Rita, and Sarah; and two great-grandchildren Dylan and Brianna. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Sunday, January 12, 2020 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Monday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church Greenfield on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 11 am. Cremation will follow. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Maxville Manor Foundation would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Rita a tree will be planted in a Memory Woods.
