Obituary for Lionel Massie

At the Glengarry Memorial Hospital on Saturday, January 5, 2019. Lionel Massie of Alexandria; age 93 years. Beloved husband of Dorina Massie (née Paquette). Loving father of Diane (Marcel Arseneau) and Francine (Théo Countouris). Cherished grandfather of Samuel Arseneau (Elysia Eno), Julie Arseneau (Mitch Kibsey) and Melissa Countouris, and great-grandfather of Isabelle. Dear brother of Jeanine (late Lionel Leroux), and Claudette (Claude Ranger). Predeceased by his brother Marcel (late Monique Pilon) and by his parents Elie and Albina Massie (née Major). Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Home, 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Saturday, from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm. A celebration of life will be celebrated at Église Sacré-Coeur, Alexandria on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 2 pm. A special thank you to Dr. Lucie Lajoie and nursing staff at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital for their excellent care. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Glengarry Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Lionel a tree will be planted in a Memory Woods.
