At the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Thursday, December 19, 2019. Surrounded by his loving family, John Allen “Jack” Atchison of Lunenburg; age 80 years. Beloved husband of Valoree Atchison (nee Thompson). Loving father of Wendy (Geoff) and Tyson (Marie-Elaine). Cherished grandfather of Rebecca (Yoni) and Hannah (Chris). Dear brother of Robert (Wendy), Garry (Penny), Kevin (Susan), Donny (Donna) and Peggy (Brian). Predeceased by his parents Hugh Atchison and Florence Kennedy also sister Sharon (late Tim) and infant daughter Carol. He will be greatly missed by all including his best 4 legged coffee and donut friend, Alex. Special “thank-you” to all his friends and family who called, visited or said a prayer in his name. The Doctors and Nurses in the Civic Campus ICU for their compassion and kindness they showed Jack and family, you are greatly appreciated. Relatives and friends may call at Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 20 Main St. South, Maxville (613-527-2898) on Friday, December 27, 2019 from 11 am to 12:45 pm. Words of Remembrance to be said at 1 pm in the Chapel of the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to the Ottawa Hospital – Civic Campus or to the Cornwall OSPCA would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Jack a tree will be planted in a memory woods. A tree grows – memories live.
