Surrounded by her family, peacefully at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital on Saturday, October 12, 2019. Helen Rose McRae (née Welford) of Maxville; age 83 years. Beloved wife of the late Ian Alexander McRae. Loving mother of Mavis Williamson (Robert), Patsy Ladouceur (Michael) and Karen Chisholm (Angus). Cherished grandmother of Jason, Colleen (Ryan), Chris (Jen), Mathew (Sara), Rebecca (Jeremy), Shannon (Jonathan), Owen (Karine) and Mary-Ellen and proud grandmother of 15 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Hazel Duffy (late Simpson) and sister-in-law of Margaret McRae. Predeceased by her parents Cranston and Annie Welford and by her brother Donald Welford (late Barbara). Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 20 Main St. South, Maxville (613-527-2898) on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 from 5 to 8 pm and on Wednesday from 11:30 am to 1:45 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of the Munro & Morris Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 15, 2019 at 2 pm. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Glengarry Memorial Hospital Foundation or to the Cornwall Community Hospital would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Helen a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows-memories live.
