Obituary for Yvette Massie (Legault)

Yvette Massie (Legault)
Yvette Malvina Massie (née Legault) was born on February 15, 1927 and passed away at The Palace Long Term Care, Alexandria on January 11, 2020, one month shy of age 93. Devoted wife to the late Gérard Massie, whom she survived by 35 years, and beloved mother of 7 children: Nicole (Mike, Toronto), Jean-Pierre (Manon, Ste-Christine), Gilles (Île-Perrot), Denis (Lyse, Gatineau), Danièle (Toronto), Yves (Lyne, Alexandria) and Chantal (Sean, Gatineau); 14 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Yvette loved vegetable gardening, wild berry foraging, and all things sustainable and natural. She had a flair for beautiful hats and stylish outfits. She liked to be kept abreast of the news and health-related programming, and had a lifelong desire to keep learning. She relished quiet time and privacy, and yet was loved by all who came in contact with her. Yvette will always be in our hearts.
