Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Shaun McDonald can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Peacefully at the Hospice Cornwall on Sunday, October 20, 2019. Shaun George McDonald of Chateau Glengarry, Alexandria; age 80 years. Beloved husband of the late Yvette McDonald (nee Choquette). Loving father of Julie Bellefeuille, and Alan McDonald both of Alexandria. Dear brother of Bill McDonald (Josephine) of Alberta, Christena McDonald (Wayne) of Martintown, Mary McIntee Mayville (Gary) of St. Raphael's, and Dorothy Lafave (Donnie Menard) of St. Andrew's. Predeceased by his daughter Mary Louise McDonald, his sister Barbara Deschamps (late Pete), and by his parents William and Irene McDonald (nee Mahoney). Shaun will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, and by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Friday from 9:30 am -10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Finnan's Cathedral, Alexandria on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 11 am. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Hospice Cornwall would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Shaun a tree will be planted in a memory woods. A tree grows-memories live.
