The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Ross Conners can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Dianne Moran
Condolence: Ross loved a good story,a good book or an obscure word. Always ready for an adventure he had an abundance of energy and a keen interest in all things. We salute a life well lived.

Condolence: Remembering Ross from the perspective of a teenager in the 1980's, 'Mr Conners' provided a clever, insightful and humorous perspective on the music and hobby interests of Dave and me. He was the kind of friend's Dad who made visiting their home in Maxville comfortable and welcoming, which says something when you are 16. Once, after I told him my adolescent black and white solution to a world problem, he quietly and quisically responded 'Really?', and I decided to reconsider my position. My condolences to the family for a person whom I remember with respect.

Condolence From: Dr. Frank and Mrs. Kathleen Barrett
Condolence: We first met Ross and Dorothea in Kumasi Ghana, West Africa. He and I were Canadian Technical Advisors. He, Dorothea and David were posted in a village school but Kathleen, our four children, and I were in the large city of Kumasi. They would come to the city to get supplies and have lunch at our home at Wesley College. By co-incidence we were married on the same day at the same time. They in Huntsville and we in Toronto. Our friendship developed over the years and we were always happy to hear his distinctive voice on the phone. Blessings on you Dorothea, David , Kathy and Terry. He was one of a million and will always be evergreen in our hearts.

Condolence: Dear Dorothea, David, Cathy, Terri and your families:
We have been thinking of you, knowing how difficult this time has been for each of you. We have been reminiscing about Ross, too, and marveling at a life so well lived. When we think of Ross, we smile remembering his quick and dry sense of humour and his never ending optimistic outlook on life. We know that he will be missed, but he remains in your heart and in the many wonderful memories you share. Take care.

Condolence: Dear Dorothea and Family,

We got to know you well over the last year
at Chateau Cornwall. You are our neighbor and it was great to chat with Ross and all his knowledge and Dorothea's kindness.

We will pray for you both.

Condolence: Back 20 years ago, I had the pleasure of greeting Ross & Dorothea at Coles'. They walked in smiling, hand-in-hand and always a nice word to say. Ross was a big supporter of Indigos' Love of Reading Foundation.
What I remember most was my offer to make a duplicate of 'The Perfect Mix' from Readers' Digest of piano classics. They never got tired of it
If memory serves, Ross & Dorothea owned a cottage somewhere and to hear them speak of the children and grands that enjoyed it, well-it was something else
They don't make 'em like that anymore
God Bless the family
