Peacefully, with his family at his side, at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus on Friday, March 27, 2020. Robert “Rob” Patrick Brougham of Lochiel, Ontario; age 61 years. Beloved husband of Donna MacGillis. Loving father of Brianna and Kaitlyn (Patrick). Caring brother of Jamie (Petra), John and Jennifer (Craig). Dear son of Robert ‘Patrick’ Brougham Sr. (Penney) and the late June Bongard. Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. Rob was a loving husband and father. He was a master teacher and coach. A passionate paddler, ardent outdoorsman and steward of the land. Rob’s insatiable love and passion will live on. Rob will be missed by many friends, colleagues, former students and extended family. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no visitation or funeral at this time. A Celebration of Rob’s life will take place when the restrictions have been lifted, place and time to be determined. For those who wish, Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Rob, a tree will be planted in a memory woods.
