Réjean died peacefully at Glengarry Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 surrounded by family. He was the beloved husband of Maureen Pigeau and the proud father of two sons Richard (Ricky) (friend Chantal) and Sylvain (Sylvie) and grandsons Stephan (Heidi) and Samuel. He is survived by by his siblings Georgette, Romeo, Lorraine (Michael), Rachel (Lawrence), Laurier and Mariette (Dwayne). Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Elda Théorêt (Massia) and siblings Wilfred, Jean Paul, Rolland, Fernand, Léa, Gérard and Antoinette. Also survived by several brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces and nephews. Réjean loved to garden, feed his birds, look after his cats (although he denied loving them at times) and keeping his lawn immaculate. He always looked forward to decorating for Christmas and would start months in advance. He and Maureen lived in the house he built. His other passions were listening and singing along to country music. He would get decked out in his cowboy shirt and cowboy boots and join a group of friends at different venues where they would spend the evening on the dance floor. For several years, Rejean and Maureen hosted friends and family annually for “a country evening” of live music, dancing and eating. Cremation has taken place. Relatives and Friends may call at the Munro and Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main Street South, Alexandria, Ontario (613-525-2772)on Monday, March 6, 2023 from 11 am to 1 pm followed by a Chapel Service in the Funeral Home at 1 pm. Reception to follow at the funeral home. As expressions of Sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute would be apprecaited by the family.
