Svendsen, Ralph Emil
(June 18, 1940 - March 5, 2023)
passed away peacefully with his wife of 57 years by his side on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital in Alexandria, Ontario. Predeceased by his parents, Emil and Elsie (nee Stahlbrand); sister, Nancy Brassard (Claude); brother, Dick. Loving husband of Joanna (nee Peterson) and devoted father to Karl (Wendi) and Daile Brady (Robert). Cherished grandfather of Delainey, Ashleigh, Kathryn and Robyn Brady and Owen Svendsen. Brother to Helen and Bruce and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the caring and compassionate nurses, physiotherapists and doctors at Glengarry Memorial Hospital who cared for Ralph during the last months of his life. As per Ralph’s wishes, no public visitation or service will be held, but a private family interment will follow cremation. Those wishing may make a memorial contribution to a favourite charity. Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 46 Oak Street, Lancaster, ON (613-347-3629).
