Obituary for Olivia Clare Latremouille-McDonell

It is with great sorrow that the family of Olivia Clare Latremouille-McDonell announce her
passing on November 16th, 2022 at Cornwall Hospice, surrounded by family and music, at the
age of 58. Clare is survived by her devoted husband of 36 years, Bryan and her loving sons
Noah (Dolores) and Sam both of Ottawa, her brother David of Alexandria, step siblings
Terri (Jeff), Kathy, Greg (Connie), Paul (Donna), and Gigi all of Washington State. She will also
be missed by her beloved cousins the Lemieuxs of Alexandria, the Leonards of Kamloops, the
Masons of Washington State, and the Riches from British Columbia, as well as her in-laws
Jamie, Rosalie, John (Helen), Paul, and her nieces Elizabeth (David) and Alexandria, all of
Ottawa .She was predeceased by her parents Margarite Hall, Gordon Latremouille, and her
Step-mother Donna Latremouille (Higgins-Coy).

Clare was born on July 4th, 1964 in Kamloops, British Columbia, a home where her love of
gardening, nature ,and horses flourished. In her final years Clare and Bryan moved to a small
farm near Dunvegan, where she realized her dream of gardening and exploring her wild farm.
Clare was a registered childhood educator at St George's Elementary in Ottawa, where
colleagues commented that "she always had a more thoughtful and deeper interaction with the
kids, it wasn't just a job". She had taken training with a plan to start a forest school on her
property, to combine her love of nature and children and pass along her passion. Clare was also
a published poet and author, in spite of herself.

Special thanks to the staff at the Cornwall hospice, to her cousins Nicki Steele and Loulou
MacDonald, friends Eva and family, and her brother-in-law John. Your kindness and support
mean more than words can possibly express. A celebration of Clare's life will be held at a future
date. As an expression of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Cornwall Hospice would be
appreciated by the family.
