At St. Joseph's Continuing Care, Cornwall on Friday, August 28, 2020. Msgr. Donald Bernard McDougald of Alexandria; age 95 years. Predeceased by two brothers Alex McDougald (Nora of Burlington), and Hughie A. McDougald (Maria of Alexandria). Cherished uncle of Judy McHattie (Don), Janet McDougald, Ian McDougald (Kim), Sue Rajewski (Peter), Katie McDougald (Danny MacKinnon) and Donald McDougald (Lyne-Renee). Dear son of the late Archibald A. and Catherine Isabel McDougald (nee MacMillan). During his 69 years of service to the church Msgr. McDougald touched the lives of many and leaves a legacy through his many contributions to the parishes he served, and their communities. A true gentleman, Msgr.’s kindness, caring, wisdom, and rich baritone voice will be missed by many. Msgr. McDougald will lay in state in the St. Finnan's Cathedral, Alexandria on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 6-9 pm and on Thursday from 9 am -12 pm, during which an attendance-controlled visitation will be held. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Finnan's Cathedral on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 2 pm. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery.
