At Maxville Manor on Thursday, August 29, 2019. Morris Koggel, born in the Netherlands in 1926 and a farmer in the Ottawa and Alexandria areas since 1952. Beloved husband of the late Ann Koggel (née Meijerink). Loving father of William (Barb Lee), Henry, Christine Koggel (Andrew Brook), Yvonne Lane (Robin), Tony (Kathy), Dan (late Beth), Wayne (Monique), Bernie, Irene Lancaster (Don), Lucian (Brenda) and Maureen Koggel (Tom Dillon). He was proud of his 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of “Tante Sien” Geziena Maria, “Oom Herman” Hermannus Willibrordus, “Tante Riek” Hendrika Theresia, “Oom Antoon” Antonius Hermannus, “Oom Wim” Wilhelmus Antonius, “Tante Toos” Antonia Hermanna, “Tante Manny” Hermanna Maria, “Oom Benny” Lambertus Wilhelmus Jozef, “Tante Marietje” Maria Christina, “Tante Gerda” Gerburga Irmina Maria, “Oom Gerard” Gerardus Wilhelmus Lucianus, and “Oom Christiaan” Christianus Jozef Maria. Predeceased by his parents Wilhelmus Johannes Koggel and Christina Berendina Willemsen. He will be missed by all his family and friends in Holland. Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 20 Main St. S., Maxville (613-527-2898). A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment of cremated remains in the St. Alexander Parish cemetery, Lochiel. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Morris a tree will be planted in a memory woods.
