Michel (Mike) Depratto of Alexandria passed peacefully at the age of 68, surrounded by his family on Saturday, March 14, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Catherine (Cathy) Depratto (née MacKinnon). Loving father of Cassandra (Cassie) Depratto Nutt (Kevin) of Alexandria, Elizabeth (Beth) Johnson (Chris) of Norwood, and Michael Depratto (Emeline) of Casselman. Cherished grandfather of Arianna and Dominic Johnson, and Adie, Marty, Catie and Macky Nutt. Dear brother of Gisèle Martin (Denis) of Alexandria, Carole Lekadir (Rabah) of Orléans, and Gilles Depratto (Brenda) of Orillia. Dear son of the late Ubald and Réjeanne Depratto (née Filion). A Mass of Christian Burial will be announced at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772). As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Alexandria Lions Club, Box 264, Alexandria, Ontario KOC 1AO or e-Transfer to would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Mike a tree will be planted in a Memory Woods.

I have not seen Mike since high school, but he will always stand out in my memory for his great integrity and sense of humour. His concern for others was obvious even then.

Cassie and the Depratto family, our collective hearts are heavy with sympathy. Please accept our most heartfelt condolences.
Mike gave so much of his heart and time to youth in Alexandria. He will be remembered by many. A good heart has stopped beating, but a heart that has touched so many lives can’t help but live on in those it loved.
