Peacefully at the Heartwood LTC on Monday August 3, 2020. Malissa “Betty” Bilmer (nee Breyer) of Monkland; age 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Harold Bilmer. Loving mother of Barry, Brian (Terry), Cathy King (late Marcel), Carol Ann Fraser (Glen) and late William ‘Bill’ (Linda). She was proud of her seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents John Breyer and Mary Ella Stephenson and foster mother Sarah Ann Harris (nee Stephenson); also by her brothers Hector (late Ida), Ralph (late Lillian) and John D. (Ruby) and foster brother Robert Harris. Betty is survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 20 Main St. South, Maxville (613-527-2898). A private Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of the Munro & Morris Funeral Home. A Public Interment will take place in the North Branch Cemetery, Martintown on Wednesday August 5, 2020 at 12 pm. Social distancing is required at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Betty a tree will be planted in a memory woods. A tree grows-memories live.

Hi Carol-Ann, Barry, Cathy and Brian:

With comfort and love Aaron, Emily, Lisa and I extend our condolences, and love to you and your family. There are so many memories of us, as friends in our teen years, spent at your mom's house. All of it good. Betty is always a loving soul and still is, she is now free to be where she wants.

Dear Barry, Cathy, Brian, Carol and family,

Please accept my sincere sympathy on the passing of your Mom. I remember her visits at home for coffee with Mom as we grew up. She was such a sweet and kind lady, always with a smile. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
