Obituary for Lynn Lajoie

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lynn Lajoie, surrounded by family, love and music at her home in Alexandria, Ontario, on Tuesday, December 15th, 2020 at the age of 55. Loving mother of Teagan and Connor Belley. Beloved daughter of Shirley (née Quesnel) and Hubert Lajoie. Treasured sister of Gary and Debbie Lajoie and cherished sister-in-law to Bonnie (née O’Connor) Lajoie and Alan Smith. Survived by her spouse and the father of their children, Gerry Belley. Much-loved aunt to Kora (Tyler), Kristy (Gordie), Melissa (George), Abbie and Aidan. Beloved friend and surrogate sister to Lucie and Sylvie Lajoie. Fur mom to Sadie and Bailey. As the organizer of many family reunions that unified our extended family of many generations together, she will be deeply missed by all of her Lajoie and Quesnel aunts, uncle, and cousins in both Canada and the United States. She will be fondly remembered by all of her friends, colleagues and fellow musicians.
Lynn, you have left us with many gifts. Your courage, strength and optimism have inspired us. Your passion for family gatherings, laughter and music have united us. Your determination to live life to the fullest, enjoying its simplest pleasures one day at a time, has humbled us. Your beautiful smile will forever be in our minds; your loving soul will forever be in our hearts. Our lives are enriched because of you. We will look out for your butterflies to brighten our day and your feathers to tickle our soul. Lynn you are our hero- we will always love you and will miss you terribly.
