Obituary for Inez MacDonald
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Heather "Inez" MacDonald, age 71. Inez passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 18th, 2022, at Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital. Beloved mother of Pamela André, Dominique André (Isabelle) and Olivia André (Milton Sanderson). Cherished Grammy of Tyler, Dylan, Haven, Grayson, Cassandre and Sydney. Dear sister of Maureen Bissonnette, Sandy MacDonald (Judy), and Mavis MacDonald. Predeceased by her brother, John F. MacDonald (Lise), her sister Margaret Henri (Robert), and by her parents John "Jack" and Mary MacDonald (nee Donovan) and her partner Bernie.
Inez's vibrant personality was infectious to everyone she met. Her battles with health issues showed her courage in facing life's challenges with a smile, great wit and gratitude. Despite the pain, Inez was a warrior and stayed strong until the end. She was incredibly grateful to the ENTIRE staff at HGMH, where she forged many friendships while there and beyond. On April 16th, 2021, the ER crew saved her life and extended it beyond all odds, an extra 16 months. Her family is forever grateful for this gift. "Real heroes don't wear tights; they wear scrubs." Everyone will miss her profoundly.
Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St S, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Thursday, September 1st, 2022, from 6 pm - 9 pm and on Friday, September 2nd, 2022, from 9 am - 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Église Sacré-Coeur Alexandria, on Friday, September 2, 2022, at 11 am.
