The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Hugh Francis McDonell can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: To Special “K”, son-in-law Billy, sons Michael, Patrick, Jamie, Tim and families.

It was with profound sadness that I learned of Francis’s passing and I am so sorry for your loss. The words used to describe Francis in his obituary are truly reflective of a man you knew so well. In my early adult-life I was one of many to frequently observe - by example - the very words used to describe Francis. Kindness and humility are but two remarkable character traits that Francis built his entire life around and shared so easily with his family. In every way, Francis personified the description of “good man” and with his passing it’s doubtless that God has called one of his favourites to come home.
