Herman Groetelaars now joins his wife Sophia (Jenniskens) Groetelaars on a trip to Heaven together. Herman was Born July 8, 1934 Veulen, Limburg, Netherlands and died March 3, 2021 Cornwall, Ontario Canada. He is the father of Elsie Bissonnette (Ronald), Marian Lacelle (Perry), & Father Louis Groetelaars with four grandchildren Jordan (Candice), Sophia (Nick), Christopher and Melisa and great-grandfather of Skylah. Survived by sisters: Petronella Maria Elisabeth (Nelly) (Wim) Louvet, Rosalia Josephina Maria (Roos) (Ton) Janssen, Agnes Anna Maria (Agnes) (Herman) Bovee from Netherland and Marga Maria Francisca (Marga) (Toon) van Kempen from Belgium. Predeceased by his parents, Lodewijk Johannes (Louis) Groetelaars and Elisabeth Hubertina Stroeken-Groetelaars, brothers Theodorus Maria Antonius (Theo) and Leo Gerard Marie (Lei) (Maria Cornelia (Corrie) Janssen) and sisters Maria Hendrica Johanna (Riek) (Jacques) Manders, Johanna Maria Josephina (Annie) (Rik) Claes, Maria Theresia Antonia (Mia) (Harrie) Claessens, Huberta Maria Henrica (Bertha) (Gerrit) van Kempen. Survived by many nephews and nieces around the world. Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 46 Oak St. Lancaster (613-347-3629). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, St Andrew’s West, on Friday March 19, 2021 at 11 am. Interment will follow in the St Joseph’s Parish Cemetery, Lancaster. For those who wish to attend the controlled attendance Mass, must call the Funeral Home, Mon. to Fri. between 9 am & 5 pm, to register your attendance. Masks and physical distancing are required at all gatherings. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations to the Children’s Treatment Center would be appreciated by the family.
