Peacefully, with her children at her side, at the Ottawa Hospital-General Campus on Saturday, March 4, 2023; Henriette MacLennan (Ladouceur) of Alexandria, age 76 years. Beloved wife of the late Major (Ret'd) Garry MacLennan. She will be dearly missed by her son Jeff (Kelly) of Ottawa, daughter, Lorri (Michael) of Gatineau and 2 sisters-in-law, Connie MacLennan and Linda Cotter (Shaun). Proud Grandmother to 5 grandchildren, Matthew, Mackenzie, Mackinley, Kaitlin and Allison. Predeceased by her parents Henri Periard-Ladouceur and Yvonne Ladouceur (Lalonde) and by her siblings Denis Ladouceur and Murielle Lebrun (Gerard). Henriette always offered a generous and warm welcome to visitors, whether family, friend or guest. The coffee, fresh and hot, was always waiting to be shared at the kitchen table along with good stories and laughter. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to the dedicated and caring staff at the Garry J Armstrong LTC in Ottawa. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Friday, March 10, 2023 from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 pm and Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 9:45 to 10:45 am. A Funeral Service will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11 am. Cremation to follow the Funeral Service with an urn burial in Sacré Coeur Cemetery in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society or to the Glengarry Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
