Passed away peacefully at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital, on Wednesday April 19, 2023. Mary Evelyn MacQueen (nee MacLeod); aged 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Beverley MacQueen. Loving mother of Garry MacQueen (Ruth) and Audrey MacQueen. Dear sister of Isobel MacLennan (late Lloyd), Doreen Howes (Carmin) and Linda MacNaughton (Dougie). She is predeceased by her parents Donald John MacLeod and Catherine Ann Hay; also by siblings Dorothy Rae (late Cliff), Angus MacLeod and Elbert MacLeod. Evelyn was proud of her grandchildren: Shawna Maxwell (Kevin), Shannan Campolongo (Brian), Hughie MacQueen (Avery) and Morgan MacQueen; and her great-grandchildren: Parker Campolongo & Grayson Maxwell. She will be missed by many friends, neighbours and extended family. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 20 Main St. South, Maxville (613-527-2898). As per Evelyn’s wishes, cremation will take place followed by a private urn burial in the Kenyon Presbyterian Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Maxville Manor Foundation would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Evelyn a tree will be planted in a memory woods.
