1916-2020
It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Eileen at the Cornwall Community Hospital on October 4th. Beloved wife of the late Dalton Kirker and Donald McLennan. Dear mother of Barbara Ann Fawthrop (deceased), Gloria McIntyre (deceased), Bruce McLennan (Jane), Jim McLennan (Dorothy). Step mother of Linda Dahm (John) and Karen Murphy (Terry). Cherished grandmother of Shelley MacPherson (Kevin Chisholm). Very proud great-grandmother of Maclen and McKenna Chisholm. She will be fondly missed by many nephews and nieces. Eileen had a full and happy life that included curling, golfing, swimming, reading, travelling and bridge. She enjoyed a happy hour martini with friends and family right until the end.
A private family celebration of life will be held in Lancaster. Interment at St Andrews Chuch in Williamstown. In Eileen’s memory donations may be made to Cornwall Hospice or Lancaster Carefor. Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 46 Oak St. Lancaster (613) 347-3629. As a Memorial to Eileen, a tree will be planted in a memory woods. A tree grows-memories live.
