The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

My condolences and sympathy to Claude and his family. I first met Claude in 1993 as a new ad consultant with The Glengarry News. Claude of course, knew who my wife's relatives were and quickly filled me in on the history of Moose Creek. His store was similar to my Grandfathers' and it was great to share our love of history. Claudes' favourite airplane was the DeHaviland Tiger Moth and he gave me many books over the years to read about it and other war related interests. He always was humble about his war service but did share that he had come close to getting hit by a German bullet days after he landed. I always watched with amazement as Claude and Heather helped their customers and knew their orders by heart. As said in other posts, you don't see that kind of service today. I last saw Claude about over a year ago and he still remembered me from all those years ago. I consider myself fortunate to have met him.
