At the Palace Long Term Care, Alexandria on Monday, June 22, 2020. Catherine Milgate (nee Lasalle) of Alexandria; age 79 years passed peacefully. Beloved wife of the late Glen Milgate of Manning, Alberta and by a previous marriage to the late Donald William MacLeod. Loving mother of Michael “Sandy” MacLeod (Joyce), late Richard MacLeod (Darlene), Gordon MacLeod of Alexandria. Proud grandmother of Michael MacLeod (Stephanie) of Carleton Place and Meaghan MacLeod of Toronto, loving great grandmother of Xavier (Michael & Stephanie) MacLeod. Dear sister of Billie Nixon (late Everett), Bobbie Barton (Bruce), June Nixon (late Royce), and Ian LaSalle. Predeceased by 10 siblings Russell LaSalle, Donalda Cutting (late Ed), Mary Helmer (late Lyall), Gordon LaSalle (Anne), Mildred Manning(late Bill), Hugh LaSalle (Maxime), Carrie Estabrooks (late Mack), Anna MacCrimmon (late Duncan), Gertie MacDonald (Hughie), and Arden Lasalle (Marilyn). Dear daughter of the late Albert and Janet Erma Lasalle (nee MacKenzie). Interment will be held in the St. Columba Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Kirk Hill at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772).
