My condolences to the MacMillan family. Carman made it possible for so many of us to play soccer in Glengarry, Ottawa and beyond. He loved the game and had a great passion for it. His time and dedication to local sports was remarkable. I have many great memories and enduring friendships from having had the opportunity of playing soccer with the Stars.

My memories of Carman are those of a man who loved sports, namely, hockey, soccer and lacrosse. I was very fortunate to have played for the Stars, and under his “will to win” attitude, the team attained success locally and further afield. His generous spirit and desire to win in both the Glengarry and Ottawa leagues were great influences on me as a teenager and young man, and are dearly appreciated as providing me with wonderful sport memories that I would not have otherwise experienced. My sincere condolences to his family.

Sorry to hear of Carman's passing. He was a giant of the sports scene, both in Glengarry and beyond. Lots of great games, victories and memories.

Our condolences to the family. Carman will be remembered as someone who introduced us to soccer outside Glengarry and in the Ottawa and Cornwall League and gave us the idea and opportunity to play in Hawaii. I remember some games where as many as we could possibly fit into his truck would jump in to make it to our soccer games. His passion for the sport, many contributions and friendships will be dearly remembered.
