Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Barbara Surtees can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Barbara Surtees (Martin)
Peacefully, at the Maxville Manor on Saturday, November 30, 2019. Barbara Ann Surtees (nee Martin) of Maxville, formerly of the 8th Concession, North Lancaster; age 91 years. Beloved wife of the late Russell Charles Surtees (2008). Loving mother of Larry Surtees (Christine), James Surtees (Melanie Lapointe), Margaret Hurd and Betty Thompson (Robert). Proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Charles Lloyd Martin and Elma Bryant also by her only sister Margaret Martin. Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 20 Main St. South Maxville (613) 527-2898. A Celebration of Barbara's life will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church “The Round Church”, Dalhousie Mills in the spring of 2020. A private interment will follow the Celebration. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Barbara, a tree will be planted in a memory woods. A tree grows - memories live.
