Condolence From: Elizabeth Desjardins
Condolence: Darlene and Scotty, I was so very sorry to hear of the loss of your son, Allan. May it comfort you to know that others are thinking of you. The loss of a child is the worst thing parents can go through. I wish you comfort and peace during this very sad time. Your curling friend, Elizabeth

Condolence: So sad to here of Allan's passing. I remember all the Rankin's fondly from Haig Avenue and always thing of them when I walk by that white house. I played hockey against Allan who was an excellent skater. Gone much too soon!

Condolence: My sincere, heartfelt condolences to The Rankin Family and everyone in Al’s life who have lost him. I have such vivid and fond memories of him growing up on Haig Ave. His quiet demeanour, hesitant laugh - he was a gentle soul. Great athlete, including inclusive street hockey player with all the kids, a big teaser too... He had those mile long legs with a bounce in his step, and fabulous hair. Will always remember he and Ollie and Harry and their fishing escapades, up before light, committed to the catch. Hope they have a great stream and lake where he’s gone. Good luck, Al. It was nice to have known you. xo

Condolence: Although a very short friendship it was memorable. We met Al two years ago as new members of Heritage. He was one of the first smiling faces that greeted both my husband and myself. After our first game with Al you could see he had a lot of sports knowledge and history behind those tired eyes. As reserved as he was he embraced out new found friendship. We will both miss his determination, passion for the game and his one handed chipping. Miss you Bud
